Branislav Ivanovic contract with Chelsea will End soon

Branislav Ivanovic’s contract with Chelsea will be reaching it’s end next year and all signs are pointing towards the Serbian defender having his contract extended beyond the current one which expires in 2016.

The 31 year old right-back Ivanovic was signed by Chelsea for a transfer fee that’s believed to be in the region of €9 million and so far he has turned out to be a key figure for the Premier League as the defender is one of the most consistent players and first choices for Jose Mourinho.

Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid have displayed interest in signing BranislavIvanovic but the player is not expected to make a move outside of Stamford Bridge as Jose Mourinho has praised Ivanovic on a number of occasions.

In February 7 of the ongoing year, Chelsea travelled to Villa Park as they faced off with Aston Villa in a Premier League match which concluded in a narrow 2-1 victory for Chelsea. In this match, Ivanovic was named as the man of the match as he scored the winning goal for his team as well as making a huge contribution defensively.

Ivanovic scored the winning goal with a sublime left-footed strike and he was praised by Jose Mourinho as the Portuguese manager said: “Every striker in the world would be proud to score that magnificent goal. Imagine a right-back, and a right-back whose best foot is not the left one it’s an amazing goal, especially when he scored that goal and it’s the winning goal.So I am very happy because he is a great guy. What he is doing for us is unbelievable.’’

It’s beyond any doubt whatsoever that Ivanovic is one of the most impressive players for Jose Mourinho and there is a very high chance that he will be receiving a contract extension past its expiration date which is established to be in 2016.

Contract negotiations are being made and official news is going to be announced within the next few weeks or even days.
