Will Chelsea swap Ivanovic for Radja Nainggolan?

Chelsea and AS Roma are rumored to be having discussions with the possibility of having a swap deal where Branislav Ivanovic makes a move to the Italian club while Radja Nainggolan is believed to be making his way to the Premier League side Chelsea when the summer transfer window re-opens in a few months’ time.

On April 4th of the ongoing year it was confirmed that Antonio Conte is going to be taking charge of Chelsea and ever since this was announced to the public, a wave of rumors involving Radja Nainggolan and a possible arrival to Stamford Bridge started to emerge as well.

Branislav Ivanovic has recently signed a contract extension with Chelsea which will be keeping him with the Premier League club until 2017 and the Serbian defender voiced his joy as he said: ‘’I am very happy to stay with Chelsea for another season. After eight years here this is my home and there is no other place I would rather play football. I don't know what I'm going to do when I have to retire - I'll probably end up writing reviews of new Australian pokies or something!?

"I have enjoyed so much success since moving to the club and I am determined to help the team achieve more in the last months of this season and next year as well’’ This was the statement released by Branislav Ivanovic after penning a contract extension with Chelsea.

However, even with this contract renewal that Ivanovic signed it does not necessarily mean that he will be playing an important role in Chelsea for the next few years as Antonio Conte will be arriving to Stamford Bridge in the summer and if Conte does not have any plans for Ivanovic then there is a possibility of seeing the veteran defender moving away from Chelsea despite having made a recent contract extension.
