Tammy Abraham says Harry Kane is the best striker in the world

Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has said that Harry Kane is the best striker in the world, as per his opinion. Abraham has enjoyed an impressive breakthrough season with the Blues this term and he has netted 15 goals from 34 appearances in all competitions. Speaking in a recent interview, Abraham has now spoken fondly about Kane, who has played alongside for the England national team.

He told: “Best striker in the world. Just training with Harry, it’s crazy, drill after drill after drill. Even when we just have little things like set pieces before a game, the ball coming to him in the box, everyone is just chilling, relaxing, and Harry Kane just bangs it top corner. You’re just looking at him like ‘woah’.”

Kane has been the undisputed choice to lead the line for the Three Lions and that has restricted Abraham to the deputy role off the bench. That may not change in the near future, particularly with Gareth Southgate preferring a three-man attack where the likes of Raheem Sterling, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho have taken up the wide attacking positions.

Meanwhile, Kane’s future has recently come into question after he admitted that he won’t stay with Spurs for the sake of it, suppose they can compete for trophies. This has caught the eye of the likes of Manchester United but it appears unlikely that they would pay a world-record £200m to land his signature amid the financial impact due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Elsewhere, Abraham has no concerns regarding his future with the Blues but he could face stiff competition for the centre-forward role next term. The west London giants are actively on the hunt for a new marksman. RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner and Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez have been earmarked as among the top transfer targets.
